Valley Family Center (VFC) was founded in 1987 with the mission to provide counseling and educational services that facilitate personal growth, strengthen the family unit, and protect human dignity for all persons in need.

To achieve the mission, Valley Family Center provides individual, couple and family therapy, coordinated services for victims, children, and perpetrators of domestic violence and parenting education.The Learning Center provides tutoring and academic support for at-risk youth.

In 2017, Valley Family Center served 965 unduplicated clients through the counseling and educational programs. Twenty-four percent of clients received multiple services, for coordinated care. An additional 456 community members we reached through outreach and education about domestic violence.

Valley Family Center is a non-profit, non-sectarian, 501 (c) 3 organization that is committed to making its services accessible to the low-income community of the San Fernando Valley who could not afford these services otherwise. Culturally competent programs are provided in English and Spanish. All program fees are based on a sliding scale, according to the ability to pay.
